Renne Chester is an education enthusiast with a superlative business acumen in strategic management, marketing communication, training and broadcasting.
Mr. Chester possesses over (8) eight years in broadcasting. In 2008 he established and managed his own TV and radio show while juggling the role as TV anchor for GT&T’s “We Linkin” PR Show. His passion for quality customer service was a push factor for him landing a job as Customer Services Training Manager for the international Company Office Depot and during his tenure he was responsible for new hire training, hiring, and performance management.
Mr. Chester has a formidable background in digital marketing and held the role of Digital Marketing Officer for several years at the Guyana Telephone and Telegraph Company, using his content development skill and scrum technique he aided the company in strengthening its brand position and brand presence throughout the social media landscape.
He later went on to the role of Marketing Manager for GNSC and took the helm of the Corporations Marketing and Sales Department to revitalize its marketing efforts to recapture loss market shares.
His love for communication, nifty concept ideation and professionalism later catapulted him to the position of Director of Communications and Corporate Relations for the School of Entrepreneurship and Business Innovation, University of Guyana.
Mr. Chester has lectured programs both at the Undergraduate and Master’s level in the field of Tourism and Digital Marketing Communication at the University of Guyana and University of Bedfordshire UK.
He holds a number of certificates and Bachelors of Arts Degree in Tourism Management from the University of Guyana and a Master of Business Administration Degree from the Australian Institute of Business. He is also in the process of pursing his PhD in Business with a concentration in Communications.
Mr. Chester has a potent background in graphics designing and music, and is happily married with one child.
